Clear about our role and the money behind the work.
This page explains what we can confirm publicly, how we distinguish service fees from donations, and how we approach partner discounts.

Nonprofit status
Ovid Org is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and files Form 990-N. The Form 990-N is an annual electronic notice for eligible small organizations; it is not a full financial statement.
Information about Ovid Org's leadership is maintained on our About page. For available filing or financial information, contact Steve.
Service fees are not donations
Project agreements explain service fees and delivery costs for technology and creative work. Those charges compensate agreed work and are distinct from voluntary donations.
Donations support Ovid Org's charitable work. We identify payments according to their actual purpose and the applicable agreement or contribution record.
Donations and tax questions
The tax treatment of a payment can depend on its nature and a donor's circumstances. Donors should retain their records and consult a qualified tax adviser about their own situation.
Partner discounts
Participating service partners may offer reduced rates for qualifying nonprofit projects. Ovid Org may coordinate those opportunities, but does not set or guarantee a partner's rate, availability, or terms.
A partner's reduced rate is that provider's contribution and is distinct from Ovid Org's own services. Any applicable rate and delivery arrangement are described in the relevant proposal or agreement.
Financial information
Project agreements explain service fees and delivery costs. For information about Ovid Org's funding and use of resources, contact Steve.
